Hope you have a good weekend....here are a few pointers...
Check your brake pads....if they are half worn or more, bring some spare pads.
If you havent changed brake fluid in the past year or so, if you plan to do an entire weekend, flush and fill with Motul 600.
The brakes work great and can take alot of abuse, as the day wears on, you may exerience some modulation in the pedal. This is built up dust, dont worry too much about it. Just make sure you drive around and let the brakes (and truck) cool down a little after each session. (dont use the emergency brake when you park it)
Tires in good shape ?
Tire pressure - bring a tire gauge, cold start, I would shoot for 34 lb. Check pressure after each run.
Bring fluids....oil, distilled water, brake fluid, etc...
Take everything out of the truck, floor mats, manual, etc...
Dont forget, floor jack and tools to swap brake pads.
Make sure you drink plenty of water as well. You wont believe how much of a workout a 20-30 min session is. Its no place for a cramp, drink water throughout the day.
The truck can be pushed pretty hard, farther than you think
Careful on the throttle on the exits, its easy to bring the end around if you get too spirited.
Thats about it off the top of my head....
Have fun
