hey guys
i just installed the b&m shifter in my truck and dam let me tell you, that made a huge difference.
i would highly recommend to replace the factory shifter.
it was also a very simple and painless install.
i think i got a pretty good deal on it also 260.00 total.

The stock one blows dog so bad..................anything is a huge 100% upgrade!!! Why people keep the stocker in is beyond me.:dontknow:

How do you like your downshifting now? Shifting with confidence now I bet?

patrick

Nice I have mine on order ... getting the truck at 8pm tonight and the shifter comes in on tuesday

man i have to tell you it ROCKS!!!!!!!!
the down shifts, rapid shifting just all around it is great.
the factory shifter feels like you are driving a semi compared to the b&m.
the b&m is real tight, which is always a good thing.

Yes I am:p ...............but downshifting was such a PIA with mine and others.......when upgrading the shifter its an added bonus that you can downshift easier. With the 4.88 gears, you shift way more!!!

LOL OK So what is involved in removing the black paint and getting a good luster on the shifter:eek:

Much better.:D

If it's painted some paint remover should do the trick. If it's anodized, wet sand it with 200 to 500 grit sandpaper and then buff it on a buffing wheel.
