Anyone had any luck getting a baby seat into a RC? We are going about 1 hour from home today for our friends 3 year olds birthday and I wanna take the truck, but cant seem to get our car seat to fit.

Put Mamma in the middle and turn the airbags off. That is the only way you should transport a child in a RC anyway as the driver's airbag WILL impact the baby in the seat in the middle. I know it is a little scary putting a child next to the door. If he/she is old enough to pull up on the lock, take it off for the trip too. Good luck and drive safe.

Good call, thanks for the advice. I never thought about the drivers airbag hitting someone in the middle. He is 5 months so getting to the lock isnt a issue just yet. I will see how momma feels about sitting in the middle, shouldnt be a problem as she hasnt ridden in it with the ROE yet and I know she really wants to!

As JR said...My wife would ride in the middle, and our son would be in the passenger side with the airbag off. He actually loved it, I would roll the window down and he enjoyed the ride. Behind the seat has the carseat brackets to hook your carseat to; don't forget to use those!

Check your owners manual -- it has instructions as well. If you don't have a copy, you can download one from Dodge's website, manual located under "for owners", then click owners/service manuals. Drive safe.

I am building a special bracket for the car seat to fit in the middle and be back & up enough to keep the airbag issue a non factor. My wife will not ride in the middle and our granddaughter is too big to not setup a sturdy rig in the middle, it will require removal of the back half of the center console, but I would rather have her ride with us on our cruise nights here in town.

Car seat won't fit the middle seat on an '04-'05. Will in the passenger seat. Airbag MUST be turned off.

Thanks guys, I put the seat in the passenger seat with the bag off. Momma sat in the middle and it worked good. Still had enough room to shift. She had to hold his head back in the seat while accelerating, he loved it!

I have to watch my nephew every other weekend, I put him in the passsenger seat, airbag off and windows down... he just laughs and babbles on the whole time. My brother inlaw bought me this seat, which is about the coolest on I have seen. I'll get soem picturesthe next time I have him...
