So far the common bitches I've seen on test reviews:
1. How tall the car is....it is tall, especially compared to it's predecessors. Along with that is the shallow floor, because the platform was designed to be an EV as well so there had to be room for the battery pack underneath. Apparently your knees end up by your face because the seat mounting position is barely raised at all. I think they kinda went too far addressing what was likely a common complaint about headroom when getting in & out of the previous generation:
2. It is HEAVY. The EV version was nearly 6000 lbs. The 2026 Scat six pack (550 hp inline 6 twin turbo) is still a portly 4800 lbs. That's 300 more than the fattest Hellcat car before it. Despite that, with the AWD it launches extremely well and is a low 12 sec car right out the box; apparently there is already easy aftermarket support pushing supposedly 50-100 hp more. It's also setup so that you can completely turn off the AWD and make it RWD only for fun stuff.
3. It doesn't sound right because it's missing some cylinders. Sounds like a BMW with an inline 6 turbo.....go figure
4. Has a weird functioning gauge cluster.
5. It's wide. They incorporated the fender flares into the fenders themselves so it doesn't look like an afterthought like the previous Challenger. This does allow for some nice size tires, starting at 275's and optioning up to at least 305's all around without them sticking out.
My personal likes: AWD (and the ability kill it should I desire to) coupled with over 500 hp, good brakes (Brembos), big tires, decent handling considering how high the center of gravity is and what appears to be a nice interior.
Dislikes: fucker is WIDE and HEAVY and TALL, weird instrument cluster, new Uconnect system that seems to be having issues early on
On the fence: it's a hatchback
