Well another trip home to the United States has come to an end :( Only 3 more years until I can retire and call it home permanently. Anyway, truck ran great while I was there and now sits at 5900 miles. I still absolutely love to drive this truck! Sorry that I couldn't hook up with bikertat at any of the local car shows or gatherings. Anyway, the weekend I got back there was an "open base" car show in which a large number of hot rods and custom classics came. Here is just an idea of what some of the Japanese are driving here in Japan. These cars were high end cars and cost approximately $90k each.

Glad to hear your vacation went well and the truck ran great.:)

Great pictures, but I do have to admit it makes me a little sad to know so much of our classic iron is being shipped out of the country.:(

I agree it sucks, because ultimately as soon as these classics start to rust or break down..... the owner ends up sending them to the crusher. It has happened to numerous classics that were sent over here.

That 57 Chevy wagon is so sweet...so is the 56 Wagon...

I think I have a fixation....

Oh yeah it was sweet! The 57 wagon had one of the deepest and nicest paint jobs that I had ever seen. Car was beautifully detailed with a custom leather interior, firewall was smoothed, fully polished aluminum engine bay and a Ford 9" 4 link out the back.

Why is it that so many people like nomads now? When they came out they had a hard time selling them. Thats why they are so rare now.
