I have the x-metal 2-4 drop kit on my truck and I like it but I wanna go lower. Only 1-1.5 more inches front and back. What is the best way to go about this....without costing an arm and a leg??? Some friends of mine are trying to talk me into baggin it but I don't know a whole lot about bag systems? Any help and/or pics is greatly appreciated.

gonna cost $ to do it correctly

on a rc, your gonna have to shorten the driveshaft

do a link system in the rear, c notch the frame

on the front your gonna have to relocate the upper control arms

and remove and refab the inner fender wells

and thats jsut to start.

to do it correctly around 3-5k

Good lord!!! Maybe I'll just stick to what I got LOL! Thanks Stinker

the problem is look at the rear axle an how far it is frm the frame in the back, with a 3 inch block you are only a couple inches between the fram and axle, thus no room for suspension movement

on the front you are almost allready hitting the inner fender, and the upper control arm is at a severe angle as well as the tie rods and so on.

it can be done, but to make it a safe daily driven vehicle and be done correctly , its abit of work

Yeah. I'm thinkin I'm just gonna slowly get some other stuff done first before I go that route. I would rather do the side exit exhaust and programmer SCT first

I the RC axle as close to frame as a QC with a flip kit.

Whenever i do mine, i'm going to have it c-notched anyways. From my last experience with a flip kit, it was just too close to the frame. Really comfy right up until you smash the axle into the frame

Smaller tires will be in order too if you go that low:dontknow:

Yup the 315/40/22 they are 1 inch or so lower then the facory 305/40/22

Or you could channel the body down. Kinda like a bodydrop. But then you lose room in the truck and cost alot of money to do, but the suspension plays no role in that part so still maintain's good ride.

Has anyone on here dropped one of these like this? Like I said I dont want a lowrider I want to make it low like a road race car. If that makes any sense.

I understand what you are saying..

stylin trucks has a set of 2" drop spindles. the nice part about those is there is absolutely no change in anything in suspension as far as camber or toe. you keep the exact factory ride but have a nice drop. i have a set ordered, they were just under $600 shipped. when they get here i will test fit them and let you all know how it works. just somethin else to think about when lowering...

Ah that sounds good. Id appreciate pics when ya get her done. Do the drop spindles only lower the front? If so how are you going to go about the rear?

Shackles would work

ill do a combo of shackles and drop blocks, mainly the drop blocks so i can adjust the pinion angle. ill do a 1" blocka nd 2" shackles for a total 3" drop. thats about the limit of the rear. 2" front might be too much, but we will find out soon :D

u could always cut ur drop coils for a lil more up front but in the rear a c notch is a muct if u go lo lower than
4in. my truck has a 3/5 drop and i need a notch BAD but i am waitin for my tires to go so i can get a step smaller :p

well right now i have the X-metal 2"-4" drop. would what you are talking about work in conjunction with that to put it lower and what about the drive shaft, does it need to be shortened also to do what you are talking about doing?

I am really sorry for the ignorance guys, but what is the Cnotch?

u basically cut a an upside down c into ur frame so the rear end has more travel space, AKA it wont bottom out as much i know guys with 5/7 6/8 drops on there hemi rams that have never bottomed out because they have a c notch
