Ball joints ???

So i have had my 04 rc for about 2 days... what a truck. One ?? i had is have any of you guys seen the lower balljoint boots ripped on low milage cars.
Mine just hit 6000 and the lower front balljoint boots are torn/ dry rotted.
No play in them just boots are gone. I was going to put in my stinkers drop kit and didnt cause i hate to have to take it all back apart.

Put your drop kit in and worry about the ball joints in about 20,000 miles

So have you seen this before? Is it common?

ball joints are lifetime items, if not mistaken you can get replacement boots, if its a small tear you should be fine, I sent and left you a message on the mid pipes also, or hope I had the right number

Trail and error.

Take your ball joints off and go on down to kragen or any parts store.

If yours are the upper or lower a arms i may have a couple.

I am still trying to find the right size for the steering ball joints as they are different.

Hit me up w a pm and i will check and see if i have some left over from my swap out. YYou may need to keep your rings. I bent mine.

Thanks for the response guys.. I was hoping the boots were seperate ill look in to it , the truck came from hot as hell florida and sat alot so i can see them drying out.... Thanks tony ya thats the number and its 2009 i do get texts hahaha .. im still deciding on going lts or not. I was going to call back but ive been at the shop late every night.

Oops meant to say the ball joint COVERS.

There is a ring you need to pry down. Actually 2 of them. Try not to bend them.

You may want to purchase some bearing grease and reload them also.

You may be able to find the right ones at an auto parts store. Also check online
www.summitracing.com
