Ok Guys I'm nervous again. When I floor the shit out of it from a dig it does Chirp in second gear and even burns rubber:burnout: :burnout: So do I need to adjust the bands or not:dontknow: And it has slipped only a few times. But not all the time. So If i do Adjust the bands My Tranny will last a long time right?:dontknow:

Just my opinnion:

If it slips at all, consider an adjustment. It cost 100 bucks at my tranny shop. It looks like it will cost about 60 bucks in parts to DIY. It takes only 45 min to an hour to do.

The manual reccomends it be done every 15k if it is shifted at WOT frequently.

Any tranny shop to work on my 55,000 Truck? Don't the dealer have special specs. What needs to be adjusted some people are saying second gear? Sorry But I'm ignorant when it comes to this.

Ther is a thread in the DIY that tells how to do it. It is really fairly simple. Basicly you loosen a bolt and its locking nut. Torque it to spec. Loosen it a prescribed amount, and lock it in place. Next you drop the tranny pan. Do the same thing to the inner bolt. Replace the filter and gasket. Install pan. Refill tranny fluid.

Certified tranny shops all have access to the spec sheets and white papers detailing any Chrysler specd mods to make or adjust.

Wow Looks Like you are smarter than the Stupid Cottman Tranny techs. I called the dealer and a good tranny shop and both said The bands are Electronically controlled!!!:) :) :) I'm puzzled. Thanks tiny giants and Hopefully I could get this done.
