Barrett-Jackson 2014

I went down couple years ago..pretty amazing all the cars, chicks and food one can absorb. A friend of mine sold his Viper and Prowler while I was there. If you haven't been there..I highly recommend going.

I was out there yesterday. All the parking around the event was full. I had to park over three miles away & take a bus the location. I go every year & never had to do that before. Tons of muscle cars. There was a 1971 CUDA with a VIPER motor with twin turbos. It seamed most of the cars had 500+ HP. GMC/Chevy & Ford had all of their new cars & trucks there. The SNAKE was there showing everyone the SNAKE & MONGOOSE set ups. Like most of us he has buffed up some & had a hard time getting into his funny car. You guys need to schedule a trip. You have to see this at least once. It is & has everything auto.

It's on my automotive bucket list for sure.

I cant wait to go. I am moving to scottsdale in june 2015, and that is on the top of my list of things to do while i am out there. I may only be there for a year. I already have a short list if my friends planning to come out and stay with me to go there. Im already really excited for it and its still almost a year and a half away.

What you see on TV is just a very, very small part of the whole event. After we see everything else we go to the auction tent. After all, we can go home & see that on TV.

I went two days this year, third time Ive been down. This year was good, they recently expanded the facility and added many many sqaure feet. I kept finding myself getting mixed up on what was where.

Seems like there are tons of resto mods this year, lots of old cars with modern engines and chassis's.

A guy needs a good two days at least to see all the cars, vendors, women (lots of super old dudes that can hardly walk with blond bombshell women), and have a few minutes to watch the actual auctions (which is quite boring really).

You are right, too much to see & do in one day. The auction is secondary to all the other things going on. How did you like the weather compared to Alberta?

The weather is perfect, not too hot and not too cold. When we walk around in shorts and wife beaters the locals stare at us.....then they ask where we are from because we talk weird, but its the other way around, they talk weird. Usually we get asked if we are from Canada or Minnesota.

I was at the West Palm beach Barrett back in 2005 or 6 i think it was... it was pretty interesting.

they get real pissy when you start shooting any kind of video in the auction room...
