Barrett Jackson on NOW...

Craig Jackson bought it.... $400K! (sticker price, and the rest goes to charity).

That was the concept car on stage... Still should be a SWEET ride tho. :)

I have to admit.... I'll wait on the new Camaro. :D :nurse:

....Traitor!!....:viking: .......jk...........................I would take either...with preference on the Dodge..;)

The 2008 "Plymouth" Cuda concept tho.... I would have that in a NEW YORK MINUTE!!!!

I absolutely LOVED that car.

That Blastolene absolutely blew me away. What a beautiful work of art.

The one that really surprised me, tho... Was the Miami Vice Boat "set" (Boat, Hummer H2, and Trailer)... EASILY about $1.5 Million worth of stuff... Sold for $500K. :dontknow:

If I was there... I might have been coerced into buying that.... That shit was WICKED!

I am extremely UNimpressed with the way the auction was managed this year. It's a NO RESERVE AUCTION. :dontknow:  Craig Jackson was almost scolding those people (you know, the ones spending MILLIONS!) .... The folks KNOW what they are buying.... There is no need to TELL them they are getting a good deal.

For the most part the prices being paid this year are way down compared to last year. Hell, original HEMI cars are not getting what clones were last year.

Craig Jackson has bid on a couple cars this year to try to drive the price up. He almost ate one yesterday, but they beat on the damn thing for another 3 or 4 minutes until someone upped the bid, and then the hammer flew.

I like watching it for the cars, but it sucks on how it's run.

Had the chance to watch a bit if it yesterday, and caught Carroll Shelby's GT500 go... $675,000.

In the way it's run... I agree with you both.... and raise an eyebrow on the "Internet Bid's"...seemingly enough to bump the $$'s up...when they were not satisfied with the current bid.
Maybe I'm nut's... and I am sure the internet provides valid bids... but sometimes it was never mentioned on a current auction.
Still fun to see all the unbelieveable vehicles on there. Dawn can't stand the auctioneer's ramble though... so I only made her listen to it for an hour. :)
