Actually the worst travesty in Baseball has never been properly addressed since 1920. The Black Sox scandal of 1919 and the banning of Shoeless Joe Jackson. If we are being honest about things. No doubt Rose deserved his ban for life in my eyes. He committed the cardinal sin....He bet on the game and I hate to differ with your view Tim but for a couple years he was a Player / Manager and it was proved he bet at that time. As a Manager well that is well documented as well. Did Barry Bonds use steroids Yes of this there is no doubt, so did Jason Giambi and a myriad of players during the era. Difference is Giambi had the sack to admit it and not lie and be an arrogant Asshole about it. No bigger Mark McGwire fan on the planet then me and I have no doubt he did as well. So did an awful lot of pitchers...Suprising huh ? Barry was much to my regret a HOF candidate before any of this anyway. They are using him to make an example of....Once Marion Jones came outta left field with her confession the writing was on the wall.
The HOF will never adhere a asterisk to any record, he if found guilty will never make a ballot......Bud Selig's legacy depends on that

Is Rose as a player worthy of HOF status of that there is little doubt in my view....He's the hits king ! Is Bonds ? Well he hit em didn't he

Neither will ever get in I don't think personally. But I would Love for the Commish to reinstate Shoeless Joe......Talk about a player that got Fkd......The greatest player to ever play said Ty Cobb. Babe Ruth admired him so much he copied his batting stance. He was illiterate and forced to sign a confession that he did not understand and never took any money. Had the Series high batting average, hit the only Home Run in the series and was flawless in the field. Hap Felsh testified in court that he was not in on it and so did Eddie Collins and Chick Gandill. Eddie Cicotte also testified to the same but he was still banned with others even after he request that team owner Wrigley hold him out of the series and told of the conspiracy, before the series started
I FKN Love Baseball and my Grandfather once told me stories of playing with Shoeless Joe...... Not only a fan but a historian as well. How about that Dodger game at Chase field Timmy.....Would Love to take in a game with you
