BASSANI Headers question

Quick question on the Bassani headers,Are the collectors 3" coming out of the header or are they smaller? Anyone have a measurement?:rock:

Save up some more money and get the Bellangers, I spoke with Lou last week(shich his office is down the street from my office) and he is a great guy. They do all the exhaust on the comp coupes and are doing all the exhaust work for McClaren. They offer the best headers for out V10s

Don't you lose a little bottom end with Bellangers and gain bottom end with Bassani's?

they are 2.5 collectors, i can't tell any difference and i put catless mids on at the same time but i've never been able to tell a diff with any mod i've done on any car i've owned. i need to take it back to the dyno but i'm gonna wait till i can get me an sct and get a few tunes

That the going price....if you search around you might find them $50-$75 less but $1K is reasonable.

WHOA, I WAS going to try and save hundreds by switching to GEICO. But just by going to Justin's site I learnded that if I threw in an extra $103.00 added to the price I was quoted elsewhere, I could get the Bassani shorties AND a 172° stat AAAAAND some red MSD performance plug wires. That's... neat. I wonder if talking to Justin would'a been better.:dontknow:

Bellangers are the best, you get gains over any other headers in the 2500-5000 range, most other headers catch up at theis point and make the same peak HP. Not sure about losing bottom end

i am wondering the same thing. i am told the 2.5 inch is fine and that i should just do 2.5 inch cats too.

my guess is that u might gain something but not enough for the money. its very minimal.

but a few opinions would be nice plz.

Size of the exhaust is not as important as velocity through the exhaust. So a 2.5 inch is good if the velocity us kept up.

and whats the key on velocity. i like the idea of not needing to replace the whole exhaust for a performance upgrade. so sounds safe to just run 2.5 inch cats.

can it actually slow things down to run 3inch cats on a 2.5inch system?

seems that air might not flow well going large and back to small.
