I have been reading up on battery chargers and was initially going to purchase a Battery Tender 5amp model, but then found alot of info on the CTEK 7000 model and ordered one to maintain my vehicle battery's.

Does anyone else here have a CTEK7000? If so, what is your opinion.

I did a search here but nothing came up.

Never heard of that one, I use a Battery Tender Jr. on my bike and a Yuasa Hotshot 900ma charger on the truck. Both work the same, charge to max then cut back to a float voltage to avoid over charging. No problems with either one yet. I have quick disconnect connectors and use them all the time. The battery for the Harley is at least 8 or 9 yrs old.

That's something I found out that the CTEK is supposed to be the official Harley Davidson(european), BMW, Corvett, Mercedes Benz, and some other
factory recommended charger.

I don't have experience with Ctek but I know a few shops who use them and have been happy....particularly with manufactures support. I personally am a fan of Tecmate Optima series chargers. Their software is in my opinion amazingly good at handling nearly any and every battery no matter what the condition. For every day home type users nothing wrong with previously mentioned Battery Tender brand.
