battery connections corroded

Is anyone else having a problem with the battery cable ends corroding ---mine corrods at the negative side and needs to be cleaned about every 3 weeks ----why would this be happening so often...

i had to do same till i bought a can of this red spray stuff ,,,after i sprayed it no problem,,,got it at advance auto,,,let me see if i can find can for name
 
a defective battery can do that a small leak can cause it to corrode while it is being used. maybe you need a new battery but i could be wrong:D

just clean real good and spray that puppy up:D

Another old trick is to place a penny next to the terminal...the copper collects the corrosion...replace the penny every couple of weeks.
 
Just buy some battery corrosion protectant it come in a spray can, its red and sticky when sprayed on, have to be careful though, it may affect grounding, but works like a charm
 
That spray stuff does wonders, just make sure to spray it off thoroughly with water!:)
