Yesterday the truck would not start in the mall parking lot ---Slow cranking ----Battery was bad!----The battery from the factory says 750 Amp. I went to sears Auto center on the other side of the parking lot and looked over the batteries. No 750 Amp ones...Does it matter if the amp rating is the same ? Are there minumim or maximum amp ratings required for the truck? ---Batteries are freaking heavy to carry any type of distance ---then To have to go buy tools to remove the battery damn , I should be more prepared -----But I got it fixed.:)

you should use same or more amp battery than u have .... not less imo... dont know alot about batteries, but do know that a regular battery weighs about 30-35 lbs hope this helps a little

I sell deka batteries for a living and there is no substitute for cranking amps. Our trucks have way less than they should have. Should be go with about 800 cold cranking amps.
