beadlock, is it necessary ?

prob. not but you could run an even lower pressure with beadlocks.. i used to have some on my 4x4 and i'v air them down to 7 Psi and run them like that all day long at the trail

I don't think you'll need beadlocks but 22psi sounds a little high to me, maybe start out with 22 psi and work it down a few pounds.

I run 17 lbs most of the time, upon John's ( from M&H) advice. He was at the strip with the temp gun and was watching the sidewalls. I was trying 15 lbs and he said the walls were distorting a little too much and put me back to 17 lbs which seems to work best for me at Famoso. I used 18 lbs at Las Vegas and had NO spin so it depends on the track. In any case I do not have beadlocks and have not had a problem.

Seriosly i would not try to go out there and set world records on your first pass( i did and it cost me quite a few bucks) Take a couple easy passes and feel it out then proceed from there! Watch the wheelhop..........if it starts hopping either pump it or just let off and ease back into it. Good luck bro!

Some advice::bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: :bawling: WheelHopping will tear shit up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

run mine at 19 psi had very little spin, had to readjust them every trip when they get hot they build up pressure a little

Moparracing.. I usually leave @2500-2800 rpm at Famoso, anything above 3000 and I spin hard. I tried 4000 at Las Vegas and bogged bad, so it depends on the prep at your strip. I try to ease the clutch rather than dump...but not SLIP... there is a fine line. Slipping will wear your clutch prematurely. I also have caltracs, and I am naturally Aspirated with headers and a DC tune...482 HP and 526 FTLBS. Best ET 12.49. Best speed 110.96. and best 60' was 1.825.

thanks for all the info guys !!!!
