These do not have to be covered, I had one in my hemi truck for several years uncovered and it sat outside every nite. It still looked new when I traded the truck.

Good to know but what about bird crap and mold. I dont ever try to drive in bad weather and have a garage but parking lots and showers happen. By the way I am not being a smart ass, how do you wash the thing

Will not mold at all, just hose it out anytime and let it drip dry, looks like new again.

yup Jack is correct, heck we put one in my mother in laws 2500 two years ago, and she has hualed manure jsut dropped by the car wash, risned it, let the truck sit outside and dry, and good as new
