Ever have one of those mornings that you wake up hours early, sit straight up, and have to see if an idea will work?
Yeah, me either. Until today.
So at O'dark thirty, I'm out in the shop in my robe checking out the serpentine belt routing, pullies, etc. Crank the tensioner, and lo and behold, it's the freaking Paxton hardware preventing the tensioner from moving in its full arc. That last little bit made the difference, and THE BELT IS ON!
The downside is that two bolts (another sits in the path of the belt!) will have to be permanently deleted from the mounting bracket. Shouldn't be critical though. They're away from the compressor, and in between other mounting points.
Now back to work. Got to get some design specs figured out, and off to Hogan's Manifolds.
