Weather permitting I'll run my truck Saturday in Evadale, Tx. at the Ben Bruce Memorial Track on Highway 105. I've not run there before. Houston Raceway Park is hosting a pro event or we'd be there Friday night. The track in Evadale opens at 12:00 with racing beginning at 1:00. I hope to be there by 1:30. Just posting in case others from the area are interested. The weather is supposed to be pretty good.

Well, let me try again on Saturday 3pm forecast:
60^
31^ dewpoint
22% humidity
13mph Northwest wind (tailwind)

Was already good......getting better.

Where are you located, I want to meet someone but I can't drive out that far. Sealy is only and hour drive....

Big Red, the track is at 2364 FM105 Evadale, Texas. That's about 95 miles East of Houston on Interstate 10 to Vidor, Left/North on Hwy105, then about 14.5 miles to the track on the left side of the road back in the woods. There's a good sign out on Hwy105. From what I understand it's a very good track with good prep.

The track phone number is 409-276-1910

Rice Eater.....no new mods since the 12.8. I'm hoping weight reduction, a tailwind, and lower rear tire pressure combined with a higher launch rpm will get a new best time.

Thats is to far for me to drive. I guess I will have to catch you next weekend.

I've never been to the track but if they have a good prep. I'm hoping for a really good time about 4pm. The air temp is supposed to be 54 with a dewpoint of 20 and a tailwind of 23mph (cheating).

I'll post results.

The slow run in the middle of the runs was just after they'd cleaned fluid off the track. I had traction problem.

I'm guessing/speculating on the following so be patient. My 60' and 1/8th mile times/speeds were not as good as when I ran at HRP but my trap speeds were higher and I actually got a new best time of 12.820 versus previous of 12.830 (yeah, I know not enough of a difference to be significant but I'll still take it). The air temp today was 66 but we had a 17mph tailwind. The speculation on the not quite as good of 60' and 1/8 times/speeds is due to higher temp air than when I got my best at HRP, and my speculation on still getting best yet times and speeds at 1/4 is because of the tailwind resulting in less drag on the far end.

Thoughts?

Sure would have loved to have 45^ and low humidity with the 17 mph tailwind.

That is one fast QC. As far as 60' times I would think that hrp is just a better track with better prep...
