I know how beneficial the flash is for the QC's and just today I have seen another minor debate over the benefit or lack of for the RC.

I have also seen it posted a few times on the forum but cannot find it. What are the full benefits line by line for the upgraded flash for a RC?:dontknow: Are there different specially tuned flashes? I just need some direction here.

Thanks guys..
Scott

Additionally,
I have an 06 RC with minor performance mods to date. Magnaflow CB, B&M shifter. Headers, catless or hi flow mids, Justins CAI, Centerforce & flywheel all in near future. Do I wait for flash until headers / cats are done?

I purchased a stage II from Robert at The Mopar Connection .... and it is the best performance mod I have made to date.

Great. Can you shed light on what it did to give you the performance?

The power comes on much sooner in the power band , revs faster , runs and idles very nice compared to stock also the oil and water temperature stay around 170 deg no matter how hot it is ... so you don't lose power like you do with the stock set up.
Gives a little bit more growl at idle and at WOT.
I can also break the tires lose rolling in 1st or 2nd and just nailing the gas:D

this is true.. before i had to feather the gas and count to two mississippi
before i floored it to really squeel the tires.. now if i just floor it i'm "good to go"

the "growl" he's referenceing to is what sounds like an adjustment in timing :dontknow:
it's like it's idleing faster but at the same RPMs... it's odd but still sounds
good :D  if i knew this ahead of time i wouldn't have done it but once
you get it done it really isn't that bad :D

Thanks for the input guys. How about when to do it? Before, after, or it does not matter relating to mods?

I think your ready :D :D I would go with The Mopar Connection ..... customers service is great and turnaround time is fast

Cheers J.T.

Personally I feel the RC flash works best when you have certain mods: intake, cat delete, magnaflow and or headers. I felt a very nice improvement in power. Truck pulls way harder now. With my 4.88's I have no traction in first or second at WOT.............actually I have never shifted at 5500 in first since I have installed my new pcm. The truck starts spinning at 3k and the rpms go up so fast I always shift too soon.............second spins so hard at higher rpms that I have to let off the gas to get traction!!

Truck runs way cooler now too.......great mod IMO.

Thanks Patrick,

As always, a great source of info. To everyone else as well.. I may go with the Mopar PCM package.

So who's "better"?
DC?
Mopar?
Brand "X"?

Do these guys flash the PCM the same way to similar parameters?? Let's hear some sale's pitches! :D

enjoy driving it as i can floor it and just squeel then damn things till i let off :D  personally, save the money for a VEC.. i don't think you will be
dissapointed

Okay so who has the lowest cost PCM upgrade aside from the Mopar one? :dontknow:
The Mopar Connection has the lowest cost Stage II .... gota pay if you wanna play ... also the Mopar PCM you need a list of mods for them to work .. Long tubes , cat-less , cam and exhaust.

Been speaking with Rob about that lately...

I have the Magnaflow CB. He has the Mopar PCM kit but has not done the cam yet and it runs fine from what he says. How much is the whole kit and what does it include?

PCM, headers, cam, and therm? :dontknow:

i think we should be careful here.. the mopar PCM apparently is a fair player..
talk to MoparConnection.. he runs the Mopar PCM on his own truck and had
the highest #'s on dyno day:)dontknow:) i would double check that but
i don't think the Mopar PCM needs a cam... :dontknow: :D
