okay, so the outback thread has made me very hungry for steak, which i cannot get over here. anyway, lets throw out some names of great steak houses in our areas and perhaps when others are in that area, they can dine there on our suggestions.

If ever in dallas try Kirbys Prime Steakhouse...the best steak I have had all over the world. Pricey, but well worth it for sure.

I'm fortunate enough to have two local steak houses to choose from here in Roxboro. The Homestead and Clarksville Station. Both serve very good cuts of meat but are different enough to not be the same (different seasoning or aging). Both are family owned.

There is a great steak house by me Remingtons steak house prices are fair and the steaks are great,We eat there once a week.

Best steak I have ever eaten came from BackDeckGrill..........all I have to do is walk out my back door.....of course some assembly required...;)

Fantastic and well deserved!!
Cattlemen's in Dallas - that the place where they hang the cut-off neckties on the walls?

Ruth's Chris is good. Charley's and Vito's (Same owner) here are really good! The orangewood that they use for the grill gives the steak an awesome flavor!

THEEE best steak I have ever had was $5.25/lb Prime Rib that we bought in Altus, OK and was smoked for about 1.5 hours over nothing but Mesquite wood.:rock:
On this homemade grill!

My Wife does an awesome job at home with a big honkin' piece'a meat......

But, apart from that, these guys do a great steak..... But way too much money to go there.... Everything's ala carte and (if I remember correctly a fkn baked potato costs about 7-8 bucks..... (The Lyonnaise Potato is pretty fkn good, though...)
