Best steak

The best steak I have had in Austin is at Houston's on the northside. We have tried Truluck's and Sullivan's but for the money we paid were not impressed. In the Dallas area my favorite is McCormick & Schmick's followed by Kirby's (although I think it was the company we were with when we ate there is what made the visit memorable)

Probably the best steak house I remember going to was the Chop House in Chicago

Hey Jeff, head down to Provo and check out the garlic stuffed filet at the Marriott. I've eaten at all kinds of Marriott restaurants, but this was definitely the best I've ever had at one, even better than the Marquis or WTC. This was probably 10 years ago, and I still remember that steak.

If ya got the money, Smith& Wollensky is about the best. A few of us had dinner there during the NATS 05 trip. I think my bill came to about $100. And I opted out of the $95 seafood app!
But damn, that was a great steak.

You know it's expensive when there are NO prices on the munue.

That's why I provided some visual aid Bill.. In case one of these places were NOT coming to a location near you... They will have you begging not to bring anymore prime cuts to the table. If you don't stop them they will pile it on until the place closes... I did some for a GTG here in Houston..

Don't know if anyone has said this (I didn't read the whole thread ), The Golden Steer in Las Vegas has the best dry-aged steak I have ever eaten. It is not on the strip, so most people don't know about it. Pricy, but if the company is paying...who cares!? :rock:

But, apart from that, these guys do a great steak..... But way too much money to go there.... Everything's ala carte and (if I remember correctly a fkn baked potato costs about 7-8 bucks..... (The Lyonnaise Potato is pretty fkn good, though...)
