I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to tow with a some sort of a traction
package :dontknow: But i think a good start would be some cal tracs and maybe
JMBs stage 1,2,3 traction stuff :burnout:

1500lbs isnt much, so would think you should be safe with just about any suspension work.

X-Metal 1"x2" drop
QA1 adjustable shocks
Caltracs
swaybar kit
bumpsteer kit

If you want traction at the track, then you should look into picking up some DR's or slicks ;)

Further mods to reduce unsprung weight....

Lighter rims
DTS rear end
Custom leaf springs
FSTJack's lower control arms

Ever thing will work except FSTJack's lower control arms the 06 has slightly different front end.

DROP KIT!!!
Absolutely must drop the truck..

It made the difference between night and day for me. I feel ten times more secure driving after I put the drop kit on.

call JMB Justin who is a vendor here.....he tows w/ his truck and gets better traction than anyone on the forum.....see the time slips for his 60 foot!

I was never happy with the handling of my truck...just seemed to be lacking stability, and that bumps were magnified rather than softened.

I had x-metal lower the truck and was very surprised at the improvement in handling. The difference was stark! I am very happy with the stance, but the improvement in handling is the biggest benefit...why???? I have no idea, but I am much more secure on rough roads.

Well, that about sums up what I was going to say.. But I will add that I don't know how I managed without the X-Metal drop for so long.:dontknow:

Two things are happening when you lower the truck. First is simple. You have lowered the CG (Center of Gravity). The second is you have altered the Roll Center.

I'm not going to try to explain it. Just check out the link below.

Thanks John, I'm learning...not fast...but learning.

Are ya'll out of warrantee? Owners manual says towing or putting a hitch on a std. srt-10 voids warrantee.

Nope most here are still under warranty...
