I returned home today from Washington DC. I had attended the 2008 Congressional hearings on Air Force posturing. I was invited by the Chief of Staff Air Force Gen Moseley, by name, to testify with he and Secretary of the Air Force, Secretary Wynn. They had presented me with the CSAF, AF's 60th ANN, and Sec of the AF's coins. Coins that are not handed out lightly. I had them wrapped up and in my bag. Upon my arrival home, they are not where I put them. I had them in a seperate pocket with nothing else in there and some mother stole them. Along with the fact that they lost my bag tues when I arrived in DC. I gave them an address where to deliver the bag at 1530. The bag did not go out for delivery till 1800. The place I was waiting at closed at 2000, no bag. I call Delta and tell them to have my bag taken back to the lost baggage desk at the airport, I will pick it up tomorrow. I go to pick it up next day after the meeting in congress....its not there...its back out for delivery. WTF?!?!?!?! I go back to the Bolling visitors center and wait another 2 hours and my bag finally shows up.
Delta made my first trip to DC one of hell. Then some piece of shit steals out of my bag. I would, under no false pretences, beat the living shit out of the son of a bitch who went into my bag and stole from me if I could ever find out who it was. Truth is, I know I never will.
I aquired the number to Delta corporate and am calling them tomorrow.
On a brighter note....I did get the sound byte of the CSAF introducing me to congress so that's pretty cool.
