I was in a Hog group ride today and one of the riders was riding a k9 Bigdog bike , very nice looking bike . I loved it ,it had a 117 S&S . Does anyone know anything about bigdog , are these reliable good quality bikes ?

The all-new Pitbull was named the V-Twin Bike of the Year and The Best Cruiser by Robb Report magazine.

Here is a exerpt from their website....

Big Dog Motorcycles, LLC, started production in 1994 and has since built nearly 25,000 motorcycles, becoming the world's largest manufacturer of custom motorcycles. The company's entire line of five motorcycles uses a V-twin 117 cubic inch engine (either carbureted or fuel injected), 6-speed transmission, stretch one-piece steel tank, right side drive, super fat tires, chrome components, steel fenders, and an extensive variety of custom paint colors and graphics. The company's motorcycles are distributed through 100 dealers throughout the United States. Designing, manufacturing, and distributing are performed at the company's 175,000 square-foot world headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. DealerNews, a major industry publication recently ranked Big Dog Motorcycles the Number One American V-twin motorcycle manufacturer.

I am pretty sure HARLEY DAVIDSON is the largest American manufacturer of V-Twin motorcycles tho.... :dontknow:  So, I don't know what Big Dog is thinking, saying that.... HD produces over 25,000 bikes a month. :dontknow:

Black1, big dog's are "custom", well, they're more "custom" than a hardley-able will ever be since they are mass produced.

Nice looking bike! Wonder if I would survive with one...I only live 40 miles from Milwaukee. We only see one brand of bike around here.

From my research the BigDog is one of the better custom bikes out there that are mass produced.

Where is OCBob when we need him?:dontknow:

Bob is relaxing...been in contact with him via e-mail...
