Big tires

What is the widest tires we can run or that people are commonly running. I have 305/40/22. Can we go wider. The guy who had it before me really jacked up the rims hitting curbs. I'm getting ready to black everything out includin my wheels and I don't want a nice shinny spot on my black rims.

you can put a 325/40/22 on the oem wheel if you can find them.

On a stock rims would be hard ..
But I run radials at a track 390/40/17

I have a set of the 390/40/17's on their way as of tonight. Im looking to keep my stock weels good. When i paint them im going to fix all the curb rash. I'll post everything that i do in a how to. I did my wifes rims earlier last month. IM jsut looking for somehting a little wider to protect my paint.

Kumho 325.40.22 in the rear...32-psi

305.40.22 in front...38-psi

i've got half moon markings on the bed sides from spirited driving...

so to go to a wider 325 size tire would make that even worse...so i'll stick with the 305's for now...

$400 for a tire. thats pretty steap. It would be cheaper just to repaint every time I hit. I might jsut have to stay witht he 305's if i can't find a better price than that.
