Detonation is our enemy on our engines even more so on forced induction. As far as the numbers matching don't worry about that as it does not apply to us at all. Here are all the serial numbers and stamped numbers on the block:

Does this only apply to the 04 and 05 blocks, the numbering that is?

Chrysler will take the block, I wanted to make a coffee table out of mine they get sent back to be melted down scraped or something.

Were there signs of detonation- Cracked and/or outright broken piston ring lands or crowns?
Too much timing?

They are going to give me a failure report so will know soon what the cause was

Maybe my dealer was taking it, I dunno. I got my new engine and it works great just took forever due to back ordered parts.
