X-Metal's Crate motor:
Bought this motor from Gary last year and it is still skidded in my shop in Ohio
Gary projected this motor to push well over 700 HP. on pump gas. He built it to be bullet proof. PM me if your interested, it is not a cheap toy....but it would be a blast if your interested. It can ship next day LTL or be picked up if that helps.
ZZ Top is a nice band, but a zz502 has a great power band. I did a little searching and this was the Rat for me. Plenty of power at low RPM's and hopefully bullet proof.....only time will tell.
Its been said that there is no replacement for displacement and that's certainly true when it comes to the window-rattling power of the ZZ502/502. This big Rat engine makes one horsepower for each of its 502 cubic inches and also churns out 567 tugboat-like pound-feet of torque enough to pull the chrome off a Dearborn bumper!
The ZZ502/502 uses aluminum big-valve, oval-port heads which flow tremendous air to satisfy the demands of the 4.47-inch bores and 4.00-inch-stroke crankshaft. Forged reciprocating components ensure high-performance durability and longevity.
come's with HEI distributor, plug wires The ZZ502/502 combination we .
NOTES We expect more, but a stock version has these highlights listed for more than what I'm asking. Gary's magic was added in the complete build
H I G H L I G H T S
HP: 502 + @ 5200 rpm
TQ: 567 @ 4200 rpm
Gen VI iron big-block with 4-bolt mains
Aluminum oval-port cylinder heads
Dual-plane intake manifold CNC-port-matched to oval-port heads
High-lift roller camshaft
6-quart oil pan with windage tray
I know I have a Supercharged smallblock for sale as well....but I swear I'm not a vendor
