Anyone out there know how the stock Bilsteins shocks would affect the ride on the X-Metal drop kit. Would it be a rougher ride?

they will work fine as long as you dont drop more than 2 on the rear, no need to change shoclks

Could you please elaborate on this ??? I have the 2/4 kit on mine, and according to the directions you're supposed to be able to use your stock shackles, and such was not the case with mine!! Ihad to use a set a buddy of mine had,or it bottomed out constantly !!!:dontknow:

Litemup has an RC, yours is a QC, with a QC and a 2/4 drop , yeah you will have to get a different shock for the rear, I think a bilstein off a 88 landrover or landcruiser is about the same valving and the corrrect length.
that was what i got from the bilstein rep, when we talked

how much of a drop is the X Metal?is it a block kit or flip kit? i have McGaughy's 2/4 flip kit on 06 qc and Speed/Truck World installed, the kit came with shock bracket extenders which let me use the same shocks, blistein. it rides the same for me.but it not X Metal, just letting you know of the shock bracket extenders if you go lower than 2in.

Boomers first kits did not come with shocks, so us original purchasers are on stock shocks. I think the ride is fine. I have never felt the need to upgrade.
