I know we all have a lot of fun at car shows and GTG's. But I must say, I just had one of the best Sundays I've had in a long time. The attached picture is of a young man of 49 spending his days in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Hope is pretty much gone and each day is a struggle.
Today is his birthday and for that he got to go for a ride in a Super Truck. He never stopped giggling and at times I thought he just might pass out. We drove over to the freeway just so he could get a better sense of the acceleration and speed. Needless to say, I might have went a bit above the speed limit but he was having the time of his life.
On the way back, I got the truck up to the speed limit and asked him if he was ready. He looked at me and giggled and said yes. I jumped on it and in a flash we were again flying down the freeway.
We pulled back up in front of what he calls home and I got out and I said slide over. No one is going to believe the stories you will be telling unless you have proof you were there. We took a bunch of pictures that I will drop off to him latter today.
While we were sitting there, he was trying to pick up on every girl that walked by.
