I was doing it twice a year.....what is everyone else doing....????

I hate seeing those drying towel marsk from car wash.........

Clay bar and full Zaino treatment twice a year. Zaino also makes a "show"spray that you can use after washing. Takes some time the first time but well worth the effort on a black truck.

i just did my buddys chris black srt-10 i used a product called formula113 its the best on black paint. but i clay first with the new turttle wax liquid clay bar (gets all the loose crap off) then hard bar with quick detailer uselly malco showroom shine, then i look for bird shit marks in the paint use 3m mirco finshing compound, wash, dry (leaf blower) works well get water of tight places, then wax, also the malco nano care line works real well. heres some links of products

Mine is gargage kept and I probably wax it 2 or 3 times a year. I judge by when I wash it if it has the smooth feel or the sticky feel. I am actually really lazy when it comes to all the detailing stuff. I have never even seen a clay bar much less used one. The leaf blower to dry the truck was the best tip I had ever read about several years ago. My neighbors think I am crazy!!! LOL ..........but it really saves time and gets those hard to reach places like the front grill.

On my black hemi I claybar and wax 1 time a month... and on my red truck i claybar once a month...and wax onces every 2 weeks...... the red one is so smooth you can't lean on it cause you slid off lol... i also wipe it down the QUick detailer every time i get out of it ............. i try to keep it very clean lol

heres yet an other dum tip but smart. every one askes me dude why are your wheels so shiney, well i use the mothers metal polish on them the one in the black can cause it can be used on clear coated wheels its called mag wax and like all metal polish it turns your hands black well if you use a little flour on a dry terry cloth it pulls all the wetness out and leaves your hands free of black dirty crap it also leaves no black spots on the rim when your done just makes a mess on the tires if you use to much but it not like water wont clean it up

I just decided to trade mine in. It was easier.:dontknow: :p :D

So instead now I've got a black Viper. Which only gets driven on nice days, so it stays shinier,,,, longer.

what if im lazy....take to high end detailer?

Actually my Bud has an '04 Viper which is also black. Every so often he takes it to the detailer at the Dodge Dealer and it comes back NICE!!!

I was thinking about taking mine to him in the Spring. Maybe?:dontknow:

For me in the spring I wash it twice really good, clay bar, wash again, dry, and 5 coats of Zainos and it's good till around Aug.
