BlackBerry Storm....

I wanted the Storm to replace my cracked screen i-phone but I'm with At&T and I couldn't get it. So I broke down and bought the 2nd gen crappy ass I-phone:(
 
Yeah I almost gave in to the Iphone but just couldnt do it, I am very rough on phones that was the only good thing about the q dropped it in a bucket of oil and the phone still worked:D Only bad thing was now I have 2yr contract but oh well got tired of the shitty customer service and prices with sprint:mad: they tax the taxes:D
 
I have the Storm too.. nice phone! It does WAY more than I need but I must say it's friggin awesome. I think it took me about 48 hours to figure out how to MAKE A PHONE CALL.. LOL.. it's all good now... ENJOY IT.
 
Ive had mine for a little while now. Its pretty cool. Need some firmware updates though, runs somewhat slow from application to application and some locking issues. If your a power user you may really hate it. The web browser is great, compared to other PDA's I have had. Typing takes some getting used to, allot of mistakes with big fingers. All in all I am enjoying it. Is it the I-Phone killer as been hyped.?..probably not, but an excellent attempt. I expect it to be pretty bad ass once we the public work the bugs out for RIM. Price you pay to be first in line .:(

go to crackberry.com and download the not official yet update:D and I also just got my slingbox to work with the storm, with some info from the sling forum, for those who dont know what a slingbox is. It plugs into your direct tv and or cable and allows you to watch tv on your computer anywhere in the world, no fees and now they have the beta for the blackberry (i had it on my Q) also the update will fix all the bugs you have. it is suppose to be official in a month so by that time the will have another one.
 
Got mine yesterday.....awesome phone. Still learning the fine details.:argh:

Got the Storm with a silicone case, screen protectors, a free phone and case for my parents and they even sent me a brand new LG enV Orange phone as a bonus to keep at home for an extra line for upgrading....all for $200.00........:rock:

I dont have the hd to many problems still :p and the hd doesnt really matter when your watching on a mobile:D plus if you have a tivo you can connect to just as much the hd. but it does work good on the storm cant wait for the strom version though so we can take advantage of the full screen.

damn good deal. :( better then what I got:D but thats chicago for you they even try to triple the price of hookers out here:marchmellow:

The problems aren't with "HD" (obviously, my picture won't look any better than someone with a regular Slingbox), but the issue is with the SlingBox HD hardware itself.

Oh well.. hopefully they will get the bugs worked out and SOON! It will probably be just about then when Verizon decides to halt these types of connections so they can continue to sell their own "TV" streaming.

thats what i meant.:D no actually verizon is giving in and the next update includes fixes so the storm can run programs like the sling mobile. but thats what they say now since cash flow is not the same but we will see.
 
i had mine since the day it came out i just now cracked the screen the whole way across phone still works but i will have a new one on monday

I have been with Verizon since 1998. I am very satisfied with their service. They have better coverage than most, and customer service is top-notch in my opinion. Verizon's service and coverage are one of the biggest reasons that I am not looking into getting an Iphone too much. I want one, but I DON'T want to change providers.

I think that you will enjoy Verizon too... the new every two is cool too! :rock:
 
just got ours two weeks ago. my wife works with EG&G tech services and since they are doing the buy one get one free and that with the combination of her discount we got two for 150 dollars. very nice!

for those that are military don't forget that there is the military discount every month. I think verizon is 15% for gov/ military

you sux:Dthats what I paid for one.:marchmellow: But youll like it the slingbox works good on it. Just have to mess with it. Check outhttp://www.CrackBerry.com It will help you with any questions you have or software,ringtones,etc. Also if your a teacher they give you a discount off your monthly bill, one thing that my wife like about verizon. Havent had a problem yet.
 
yup, played around on crackberry.com good site. also mostly free ringtones on phonezoo.com, just register for free. and input your info. as long as you have the unlimited data package.
