In the last few days I've seen Blago (both) on FOX NEWS AND in his impeachment hearings..... I must say that he makes a very credible case for himself.... I am quite impressed , not only with his personal credibility but by the issues he raises (.... the absence of witnesses or actual evidence) ....:congrats:

What do you guys think.....? Not simply about the allegations, but about the absence of any real evidence and whether or not this guy's being railroaded by the political machine in Chicago.....

Who's dirty? Him... the machine or both...?

Has anyone else heard him being interviewed? What do you think...?:dontknow:

I've watched the interview yesterday with Beck. I have to say, this guy certainly makes a case for himself.

I was under the impression that they had some pretty good evidence against him. But I have to agree with him that the system is jacked. No matter what kind of proceeding it is, in this country I believe that you should be entitled to present a defense and witnesses.

It's easy to see how this guy got himself elected, that's for sure.

No horseshit, Bob....

All sounds good, but we still have due process last time I checked......

Well then, give him a fair and impartiall trial and then hang him:D

I think he did it,why else would the feds do an investagation on him.

There's no such thing as a "clean" politician... It's not possible to get elected, especially in Illinois, without making "deals". I think he just spouted off to the wrong person..... and thus, he gets the rain.

One of my favorite picks for a top politician is Charlie Crist.... but, he's probably dirty too. :dontknow:

This guilt by assholciation shit doesn't cut it, guys......

Yer making me sorry I asked a serious strightforward question.....

I disdain politicians as much as anyone, but that is not the issue.

Thanks....

I'll look up the interview so I can post with a more informed response. Sorry.. when it comes to politicians, I generally jump the gun. Actually, I hope the guy is clean and can prove it. It might help restore a little faith in the system. Don't be sorry for posting! I'm sure many of us will actually become a little more informed on the issue after this!

:D :D :D

Let me elaborate a little bit then..... There is no such thing as a clean politician. But, if they want to impeach him, I hope they do so on accounts of something he DID do. And that is what the hearings are for.....

Hell, I even have some politicians in my family in lower level government. It doesn't matter what the pay grade is.... if it is a elected position, there are deals being made. Usually, those deals consist of stepping on someone's head (figuratively speaking). Blagojevich just got his dick stuck in the door on this one. :dontknow:

My comment wasn't directed at you individually, bro.....

Thanks for your objectivity......

Yeah, the feds would never investigate or charge anyone that isn't guilty, huh? I know way too many that have fallen prey to overzealous feds, only to have charges dropped after years and thousands upon thousands of dollars. Feds typically have an agenda behind what they do, and it isn't usually what they are tasked with. The feds are notorious for this type of behavior.

And sometimes they even get convictions, still doesn't mean you're necessarily guilty, or guilty to the extent they accuse you of. It's real hard to get out from under the feds once you've found yourself in their crosshairs.

One of his crimes was buying Flu shots from Canada for Illinois? But the chief financial officer wouldn't pay for them since they were bought out of country?

I haven't been keeping up on this but it does seem a little weak for one of the charges.

Hadn't heard that one Bone. I'm not real up on it either, other than all the allegations about him attempting to sell Obama's Senate seat.

Now if he did indeed do that, it was a despicable thing to do. But I still think he is entitled to mount a defense and make his case. Anything other than that is rotten to the core. Anytime the government prevents you in any way from defending yourself to the fullest they are trampling on everything that we stand for IMO.

Let me point out that I am not in any way saying that RoadBlock was not guilty of any crimes. I am just saying that it wasn't all on the up and up, and that should be a concern to all of us. Same with Blago.

Exactly:

I don't care if this guy was caught with his dick in a light socket. He is accused of offering to sell Obama's vacated Senate seat to the highest bidder.... Evidence to further and prove those specific allegations is what matters. Not whether the guy peppers his dialogue with the F word.... (one of my personal favorites).... I have a very sneaky feeling that all the hype about this guy could be nothing more than a smear campaign.......

Prove that he tried to sell the Senate seat.......... PERIOD.

Hell, the Democrats already seated the guy he nominated anyway......

Something has really stunk about this whole thing from the get-go.... I'd like to know wtf is really going on here....:dontknow:
