Sitting at a light on way home yesterday. Power sticks cracking away. Two guys on bikes heard the exhaust, smiled, changed lanes and got behind me. That was the last time they were there.

Made a quick turn and were now at a red light with nothing in front of us except another light a half mile away with no traffic or side roads. It really didnt matter since it was over just as quickly as it started. I spun off the line and they took off. It was like I was standing still.

Oh well. They had over a 4500lb advantage on me.. ;)

For those who have said they beat a motorcycle, I find it hard to believe. A Z06 wouldnt have a chance here.

Sorry for your loss! :p

I've never outran a bike, but I gave an R6 (600cc Yamaha) all it wanted one night. He didn't "blow me away" by any means, but he definitely had to work for his "W"!

Dont know what they were other than fast. And your truck is not even close to stock either. :burnout:

I knew it was a lost cause when they pulled beside me. I thought I would make a little run at it. Like I said, I spun bad off the start. I definately looked better :burnout: but I was not too upset because of the weight difference. They actually were loving the truck. They're was no gloating either.. Well if they were, I was too far behind to see it. By the time I was pulling up to the next light, they were already turning so they had me by a good 4-5 seconds.

You have no chance on a dead stop. The highway is another story I burned a triumph bike about a month ago.

9's all day long with a few simple mods on my bike. :)

most 2000 and newer 600's can do mid to low 11's stock. those are generally the slowest of the superbikes.

Not disputing that from a roll, it would be much closer. Dead stop, no chance with the weight diff, stock clutch, and bald rear tires.

I would love to know what the bikers thought when they saw your taillights pulling away from them!

i find it very hard to believe guys are beating bikes, i mean hell I ran 11.4 my first time out 4th run on my 05 R6. Something does not add up here

That's what I'm sayin. And a properly ridin liter bike would be extremely hard to beat. I've seen how that turbo SRT-10 spins...

They claim the 2009 GSX-R600 does the 1/4 in 11.11 seconds @ 132mph.

I don't think there are too many trucks on here that can touch that... and that's just a stock 600:eek:

:dito: :questionmark:

It really comes down to organ donor cards being filled out with bike riders. In a crash, you have a much better shot at survival in the truck. So in that case, I win.... ;)

going down the highway i can see a truck like dom's taking a bike but from a stop no way, a friend of mine had an 05 honda cbr600rr that ran a 10.76 but going down the highway it "felt" slow, faster than my truck but no where near the acceleration as from a stop

it happened dont have a video but i guarantee it happened more than once,,,, my truck from a roll is stupid fast >>>

I have outrun a couple of bikes,One just gave up at about 170 plus,The other flat out died at 160 or so.I do not know the make or model and it was a matter of holding them off(not smoking them). Both times were at around a 80 mph roll(3rd gear). The faster the of two actually instigated it.He stayed in my right side blind spot for about 2 miles(sped up when I did and slowed when I did,Real close to me)I figured enough is enough and I'll give him a run.Believe me when I say that I was more suprised than he was.Later at normal speeds,He gave me big thumbs up,Shaking his arm.As far as exact speed goes,I couldn't tell you,All I know is that my needle was aprox. 1/2 inch past 160.Previous dyno pulls showed my speedo accurate to 150(that as high as the dyno went). For the record,I do not condone (lets say)exhibition of speed to anyone and that I will probably never go that fast again;) ;)
