BMW 645

A friend is a mechanic for BMW. He wouldn't own one without a factory warranty and even then they'd have to basically give him the car. Apparently software issues are the most prevailing with transmissions problems and has told me about some electric power steering units going out that cost in excess of $4K to repair. The wifes Infinity will be replaced with a Lexus next time around. Its been the best car we've owned long term.

think that's inherent to all modern sofisticated cars... when one sees the high tech unit "active steering" , no wonder it could cost 4k$ to renew... hehe, makes me wonder that the time of drivable oldtimers is done ? Even my Porsche 928 from '82 is already considered expensive to keep it rolling...what about someone who wants to drive my 650 within 20 years ? it just wouldn't be possible money-wise..... unless you have some spare cars to part out...
