BMW Alpina B7

It would have eaten you pretty good...LOL

500hp @ 5500 rpm and 516 lb-ft @ 4250 rpm in a car that's 4400 lbs and has the aerodynamics.

Put a blower on the truck, and its on!

Don't you guys think it too ordinary:dontknow:

There are little "subtle" differences in the Alpina that are not so ordinary. They really are very nicely done Tuner Cars. And it is a 760Li, which is kinda rare anyway. :dontknow:

Alpina is world renowned for going a little "over-board" on the pin striping, in the past  .... Did this one have any wild pin striping on it, Scoot?

Here's a pic of a B3 Alpina BMW... You can get an idea of what I mean......

Not even a thin red line.... :D

It was not ordinary looking at all. At least not to me, I noticed right away that it was not your every day beamer! Sweet ride, very sweet!

Cool. :) Maybe they've out-grown that little trend. :p

Meh, I've driven one - they're still big boats, no matter what Alpina does to em. Kinda slow off the line(too much traction control intervention), and the transmission takes forever to downshift, but once it kicksdown on the freeway they haul ass. Not worth $120k to me.

Oh, and its not a 760 - 760 has the V12, the B7 is a supercharged V8.

Hmmm... I hear ya.

But, slow off the line does not equal 0-60 in 4.2 !! (Just going by the C&D write up that I linked.) :dontknow:

I told him first that our trucks could give that alphina a run for its money in the 1/4 mile:rock: Especially if it a slotch off the line

I'm sure if I went in and turned off the DSC, it would have been a lot faster - the traction control starts cutting power when it detects any wheelspin at all. But it was a customer's car that I was doing the break-in service on - only had a few hundred miles on it. I know I wouldn't want the techs beating on my truck if I brought it in for service, so I don't do it to customer cars too much.
