Due to the mod bug biting me again I am in need of some cash.

I had this gun built for me by the legendary Bob Munden. It is a blue and color case hardened 4 3/4" COLT SAA.It is super slick and smooth action.Has the coil spring conversion, too. As stated, this is the full race (competition fast draw) version.

I never got the time to compete,so it was fired about 50 times, cleaned and put away.

$2850.00 firm

This also has the laminated reddish "Gunfighter" custom-fitted grips. As I understand it,Munden can no longer furnish these .

Sorry , no pics til my Canon arrives.

btw....... I have all the papers,invoices,boxes,original grips,etc.

These COLTs are now around $1300-$1500
the rest of the cost is the tuning and mods

look at Munden website for full list of mods

I'm not sure if I would sell that.... Bob (unfortunately) isn't going to be around forever.... That gun is going to be worth a WHOLE lot of money in the near future. An original Colt Single Action Army is only going to rise in value, and with Bob's work done to it, will rise in value exponentially. I wish I had the disposable income for another fine weapon, because this one is about as good as it gets. :congrats:

For anyone that hasn't seen a Colt SAA..... here is a pic of one similar to Nelson's description.....

I been thinking the same thing.I saw him in person once. You simply cannot comprehend the meaning of speed 'til you see him.Well, you don't really see him.You just see him before and after. What happens in between defies the laws of physics.

Probably better to keep it in the long run.

After reading where another member broke his rear when the slicks bit hard,I am not real sure I want to run them now either.I do wanna run the N20 IF I get the controller I need.No window/rpm switches for me.

Thanks for the advice !

I'd still love to see pictures of it tho. :)

When I finally get my Canon and figure it out,I'll post some pics

It has 10 megapixels and 20X optical zoom, should be a nice one.

Can't wait 'til July ! Will take lots of pics from northern South Africa.

Any pics?

Bill.

Not yet.
I sold my digital camera and haven't had the funds to buy the one I want yet.

Got a few parts for my truck and don't have the $$$$$$ to get them installed either.:(

It looks on the outside like any blue/color case hardened Colt except the the notches on the cylinder have longer lead ins
has the 4 3/4" bbl,
.45 cal (of course :D )
barrel was chamfered to allow smoother bullet entry
all coil springs inside
built to withstand the abuse of competition fast draw use
you have to cock it REALLY slow to hear those four clicks now
silky smooth
and has custom Gun Fighter grips with flat bottoms,(like Eagle Grips gunfighter style only thicker)

I will get pics this weekend hopefully:eek:

Other than the lead-ins for the cylinder lock notches being longer it looks like any other Colt. Most everything that counts is on the inside.

It looks new.I have shot it only about 20-30 times ,cleaned it and put it away.I take it out every now and then to look at it,but I haven't shot it in over two years.

Nelson - Please let me know if this is close or what....

But, the gun should look very similar to these:

....... With a slight difference in grips, of course. :)

Looks exactly like the 3rd pic, except mine has reddish laminate gunfighter grips. For some reason, these aren't available from Munden now :dontknow:
(at least not when I called about having a pair made for my Vaquero.)

And my grips are fitted ,one-piece with no visible screws
