Wheel not used the correct way.

That is one of Bogart's lightweight drag race only wheels.

They are made extremly light and not for street use. They are made to go in a straight line only. When they are run on the street this is what happens.

I have many sets of Bogart wheels and no failures. The street wheels are made heavier than the race wheels.

Also running that combination, with out a natural rubber tube shows a lack of basic understanding for safety policies and procedures.

Thanks Patrick for putting this up so folks will be aware of the proper use of race wheels. Any drag race wheel will fail if it is run on the street. The race wheel is not made for side loading. It is only make for use in a straight line.

I read the whole thread and the guy says he wasn't driving on the street, yet it was in his driveway and not at the track when it happened? Something a little fishy with that.

Looks like Bogart told him it was a bad weld and fixed it though.
