BOOMER Shifter

Just recently got my truck and am looking for some mods. Whats all the talk about BOOMER's shifter. Whats so good about it? How much better is it than the stocker? and wats the price?

Hey John,

In order of appearance the answer would be as follows:

BOOMERS shit is all great.... It keeps you from missing 3rd gear when shifting quickly or racing....

It's alot better than stock... But to be fair, using my pecker to find third would be about as useful as the OEM shifter.... IT SUCKS.

I think the price is somwhere around 500 bux...

The question I have that NO ONE (Gary) HAS EVER ANSWERED is whether or not this is the final generation of the product or not.

I am holding out for the perfected one....

I have the X-Metal (Boomer's) shifter and its ten times better than the stocker. Of course if I was in the market for a new shifter now, I would wait until on the new shifter. It should be shipping any day now.

yes boomer has the new gen shifter ready to ship anyyy day now. from what i gather the shifter base is more advanced than the stocker and that base is what allows you to slam gears. and if you want to upgrade to that ripstick....that thing just looks sick. wait a week or two and I'm sure people will be posting reviews....i will be one of them!

D", ya must have skipped your geritol dose, i answered you on another thread-YES this is the final design.....................most likely..........
the thing about it is, for all intents and purposes, this shifter design is done. if there ever is any changes, they could be retro fitted to it, but since i patented this design, it here to stay my friend.

Boomer's shifter is the best mod I've done. No question. Get rid of that stock shitstick. With Boomer's you could find third, on the fly, full rpm, with a blindfold, with the flip of a wrist. Silky smoove.

It is cake. (The 2-3 shift that is) We all had problems with that one, at high-rpm, it's nearly impossible to get a good quick smooth, 2-3 upshift with the stock Hurst, end up goin into first, for a little 'truck hoppin', lol.

With Boomer's? It's second nature. Almost to the point, that you wouldnt believe me. You'd just have to try it for yourself. The 2-3 upshift issue is 100% gone. In fact, I havent missed a shift since having the Boomer stick, and Ive had it for seemingly FOREVER (one of the first ones, first batch, couldnt wait to get it). It's the best man, changes the whole driving experience.

Did that too.........full throttle at the track!! I about had a heartattack!

I also have Boomers Gen 1 shifter. This was his first one to come out. It is head and shoulders better than the stocker. His current one is supposed to be even more precise and does not interfere with the console like the gen 1 did. But let me add, besides not being perfect, the gen 1 shifter is still a 100% upgrade over the stocker.
