Jack the web master took those head shots from some snap shots and photoshopped the background. Most everyone had sunglasses on that day.

Yes I get that building and truck to myself. There are 3 fire trucks in the bays but they are not manned. Just volunteer.

I worked 12 hours yesterday but got the 2nd half of the shift off.

How is the response from your volunteers on Medicals... was "thin" after midnight for medical upgrade...cardiac arrest, extrication...ect.
Fire...you will get 20 people...mind you this is going back to 1993...

Our volunteers are not toned out on medical calls unless the ambulance requests them. Usually that is due to the distance of the responding unit. Response times on fire calls are "alright". It's hard to find people willing to give up their time to volunteer. But I have to say it improves each year from what I have seen over being involved in the last 4 years.

EMTs and Firemen are heroes....

I know. I know..... yer just doing yer job.... I've heard it 1000 times...

But any job which covers rushing into a burning building to rescue those inside is heroic to me....

You guys bloody fkn rule...... and you have my undying admiration.

It is just our job. But I love the hell out of it. Bringing someone out of a burning building alive is a big time dream of mine. That's why I bought a Viper truck. Cuts down on my response time.
