Borla exhaust broke..anyone like the flowmaster setup?

My Borla broke too....I would change even if thye give you a new one.....

I am shocked that 2 users on this board have suffered Borla failures. I don't care how good the warranty is or how great they sound, if the frigging mufflers can't hold up to Viper power, I can't consider them.

Im shocked too since I coulda got flowmaster or MF cheaper. Im thinkin B&B, im lookin at their website now. I need/want to go 3" with x-pipe with race mufflers....B&B make some I think.

You guys should check out the MBRP system we put together, cat back fully stainless, sounds great, have it on mine and I've put on a few miles on it, love it.

I just spoke with one of the tech guys at Flowmaster, he suggested a 50 Series Big Block muffler, dual inlet dual outlet. Part number is 530504. I will probably switch to that, get 3" mids and remove the cats. Just passing along the info, although it sounds you will get the B&B setup. Try to get feedback from someone who has the B&B setup here (Rice Eater, I believe). Have fun Blake :D

Well....just got off the phone with True Performance....they dont feel that its gonna make much difference anyways....they say just get a muffler from Borla and put it in the spot where the one with the broken baffle is....I can take off both Borla mufflers and put in the Flowmasters for a couple hundred bucks....I dunno, I would kinda like a louder more throaty sound I think. How bout leave the 1 Borla and add 1 Flowmaster....really rig it...Who was it that had 1 mofo header on?LOL

I had the flowmasters.....cost me some hp....sounded wicked.....finnally went B&B just to tidy everything up....

screw the stock manifolds, he has stryker heads, go with the BB headers and let it breathe.

what is MBRP? what is the address?
Their website is www.mbrp.com, kick ass exhaust company outta Canada. They have both Stainless T304 and aluminized systems. The system we did for the SRT is Stainless, looks great, sounds great. As per my converstation with Doug Levin we did a 2.5" Cat back, we might do a 3" but honestly its hard, there isn't that much room under there to run a mandril bent true 3" ID pipe. Doug mention there is little difference HP and Trq out putwise between the two, the big difference is the sound, and sometimes going to big can=loss of low end torque, not enough back pressure.

Cut two holes in the bed , and run two stacks up beside the cab, and be done with it:D I gotta call you by the way blake , had to much goin on lately I apologize:D

yeah,yeah,yeah...treatin me like a redheaded stepchild.....again. :) gimme a call hillbilly! Well, here's the exhaust plan.....

ONE more shot at sealing the Bassani's today with NEW stainless steel OEM style gaskets. AND....replace Borla mufflers with Flowmaster cuz its a cheap fix for now. Should sound good for the time being. Im doing this because IM OT waitin 3 weeks for the B&B to come in!!!!! It will be going on there but in a month or so. I wanna hear the flowmaster sound first anyways. Anyboy NOT like this plan? At least it keeps the truck on the road for now. Hopefully those PEICE OF CHIT Bassani's will seal up.

MBRP now has an incredible 4" stainless steel catback system. That's a third of a foot! The single exhaust tip is a staggering 5 inches across, the size of a frigging coffee can.
