You can tell when the truck is getting close when DC performance tells you we need 55 gallons of 117 octane....:D

Thats the most I ever heard of for racing gas. I think I used to pay around 4.50 /gal.:dontknow:

You can Chris but it needs to be tuned to get the real potential out of it.

Good choice nowwhat, I figure DC is keeping it for ya , but if not take head in these precautions, some I found out .

Keep it cool, out of the sun, heat draws out its properties.

also and this sounds crazy but keep the lid closed and very tight! When you draw some out replace the lid quickly as possible. same deal the properties can escape to a certain degree.

and if you have some in your extra cell on the truck for more than a week and plan to go racing , replace it with fresh, it always helps.

We learned most of this with joannes 2 stroke, if the fuel was exposed, or left in a jug too long it lost its jazz:D :D

So what if I put some in at the track without a tune? Am I looking at potential damage or just wasting my money?

I'd just buy some high octane at the track , or jsut a 5 gal deal and let the tank get down to 1/4 or less and add about 2 gal or so, It will at least keep you from detonating:)

Nowwhat , is the NOS ready for a charge down the track? uh is that what you are saying:D

It won’t damage your motor. Will burn clean and smell good but a waste of money unless you are tuned to benefit from that high of an octane fuel.

Yeah Stink we are about there....the wiring harness is absolutely wicked.... ports for data loging etc...everything goes under the back seat....

The C-16 will be stored at DC.....will fill the cell and a jerry can before I head to the track...

The Maximizer II is a pain to wire in but man what a 'puter...auto purges and everything....:D

Nice!! Free C16 @ DC Performance...bring your own jug :D :D

Nowhat what about going down to the local FBO (Fixed Base Operation) at the county airport or airpark and get some AvGas I think 114 is still available and a bit cheaper.

There was something about aircraft fuel and the way it burned.... I just cant remember, but I'll try to look it up, silver may know. but it was something about its burn rate.

I know in bikes I couldnt run Joannes C-12 because it had a different burn rate than for a 4 stroke engine. I'll try to find out.

cool beans Nowwhat cant wait!

Your set up is the tits bro! when it gets good and done, we need some pics!

I cant even imagine wiring and routing all that gobblty goop up:D

the only problem with av gas is that its 100 or 110 low lead, not unleaded. in my days of high performance quads it was understood that you should only run low lead in 2 stroke motors, the lead was to hard on four strokes. but there are all types of fuel additives to make more hp it just takes a ton of knowledge and time to test different mixtures.

Thanks Wakeboard! thats what it was!

Yeah you can also call the VP rep in your area and he can also help with the hp value, the more oxygen in the fule the better the hp, and the price;)
