Bought new Tires today

I went with the Toyo Proxie ST's.

They do not have the problem of darting all over the road like the Pirellis did, but they are not worth a shit in the rain. In the rain it's like driving on ice. I will probably shit can them come winter time, and go back to the Pirellis.

I forgot to mention one other thing about the Toyo's. When you spin these suckers, it sounds like you stepped on a burlap stuffed full of cats. They scream like a M-F'er. I liked the Pirellis. Nice and quite.

After the photoshoot showing off burnout...had to make a trip to the tire store....:D

I dunno guys...I just put the Pirellis back on...I know a lot of people bag on them....but they seem to be a great tire to me....:dontknow: :dontknow:

ZR rated...etc...I did put the R/C spec tire on....

I think I overpaid a little....$250/tire all in...mounting/balancing etc....I know that is probably $20-$30 too much per tire...but they are my local place...for alignment etc and they have always been real cool....so I figured the extra $$ to support the local guy was a good investment....

Pirellis were my choice as well, local outfit also, paid a touch more $1100 for four, mounted, bal, front end allignment .... They work for me, don't do a lot of burnouts, but I shift into sixth at about 125, and keep going at times ... so I like the rated tire ..... ( on a long straight stretch of road at 3:00 in the mornin)

I am going for the General Grabber UHP's tomorrow morning. I rarely get over 100 (except when following certain other guys ;) ) $150/ea mounted and balanced  Was going to burn the Pirelli's off in the parking lot of the local VoTech center this evening ,but we had a rainstorm  Oh,well.Nothing to clean up tomorrow :D

The guy at the tire shop said the Generals (made by Conti.) are a great German tire.....:dontknow:
I still like my Grabbers a lot. The only downside to them is after the truck has been sitting awhile (days). When you start off you'll notice what feels like a flat spot. Once the tire warms up, it goes away. I think this is pretty common for a performace tire. I've experienced it before on other vehicles with different brand tires. The Grabbers UHP's are great in the rain too. I felt the same about the stock tires as Silverback does about the Proxy's. I'll get the Grabbers again when the time comes.

where did you find them for $150 each? fill me in please.

i had got mine for $814 drive out for 4 new pirelli's.

then went and had a 4 wheel alignment for $70.

Haven't put over 40 miles on them, but so far,I am loving these General Grabbers !!!!!!!! Much better ride than the Pirelli's.Seem to have better traction, too.Looks like they have a better wet-weather tread design.

I went with a new set of Toyo's myself. Got them on Wednesday I like the driveability a little better than the Pirelli's, but then again I haven't driven them in the rain.

I was also told by a few tire guys down here the last few tires they got from Pirelli didn't balance very well. I figured I'd give the Toyo's a try even though they were more expensive. Looking at them they don't seem as wide as the Pirelli's, but boy do they grip.

my nephew saw the new grabbers and asked if i got wider tires...he said they look alot wider....and they do move the water....
