Anyone know the braking distance for the 04 (2 piston front caliper) versus the 05 (4 piston front caliper)? Debating on whether or not to upgrade to the 05 calipers.

Good question.

The 04's just look better to me.The 05-06 front calipers seem "clunky" to me.

I have read that the 05-06's fade more than the 04's. :dontknow:

According to a person that owned both, at the same time, no difference.

The 05 brakes faded and got real spongy at the SRT Drive thingy we went to , just the opposite on the 04's and they are standard 3500 calipers available at your local auto parts store;) :D

The Stopping distance is the same. The '05 Caliper change was Dodges attempt to help reduce the '04's tendancy to be grabby.
I actually like the '04's brakes, just becareful after you drive something else and get back in your '04!
Just my 2 cents,
