i've been fed up looking at the inside of my rims being all f-ed up and filthy.

so i scrubbed and cleaned them out then painted them with wheel paint from dupli-color.

the paint is almost exactly the same color of the brake dust. so now when washing the truck all i have to do is clean the face of the rims:D

ditto.

not a bad idea:rock:

sorry i ran out of sunlight. i couldnt get any of the night pics to turn out well enough to really see anything. i'll get some tommorrow.

By painting them, you will probably get the brake dust off easier anyway since it shouldn't stick as much. Also get zeckausen brakes and you will be set.

Very good points.

the dust does come off easier. i just don't like cleaning the inside of the wheels everytime i wash the truck. i figure that alone cuts at least 20 minutes off cleaning time just to see it all back in 2 days.:dontknow:

Yeah, now I should follow my own advice.. Got the pads for over a year and have not installed them yet. Waiting for Joemags to invite me over and break the wax seal on his truck to do the swap out.:p

its graphite. to do all the wheels i used a little more than one can.(when the cans start to get close to empty they start to splatter bad so when they start doing that throw'em away) each wheel i put 3 medium coats down about 15-20 minutes apart.

was there any prep involved? or do you just clean and spray?

just used some hot soapy water and a green scrubby. dried them off then used painters tape to mask off.
