Guys,

I just thought I would let all know who cares that I tried another brake pad on my 05 RC. These are MORSE Ceramic part number 1085C available from your local AutoZone parts store with a TWO YEAR WARRANTY. These are $44.95 plus your local tax. I was skeptical at first. I just got real tired of the noise and the wheel cleaning after every drive to the local bar.

GREAT deal for price and warranty. When you buy online, its such a freakin pain to return or to get ANY support from people. If you don't like these. Take them back for a full refund. I love them. No more Dust. NO more dust. They will squeel just alittle until they warm up. I now have about 350 miles on them. Just resurface your rotors. Do it right the first time!

AutoZone sells the Performance Frictions which are available for the 2004 model. This is what I originally wanted but received the Morse instead.

PF's are not making pads for the 05 yet. I did hear that the calipers on the 04are one in the same as the 2500 and 3500 model rams of the same year. This is not the case with the 2005 SRT-10.

I didnt ask if the Morse are. You want me to call and ask?:dontknow:

Yeah, Part #CMX 1054. They are also know as Friction Master. I just put a set on the front of my '05 (CMX 1085) and after a 200 mile trip not a peep out of them. And my wheels are still clean too. Truck seems to stop just as well as before too. I did have to tweak mine ever so slightly. The knotches didn't want to fit over the lugs inside the caliper. I took a grinder and just opened up the knotch so that they would. Nothing major, just cleaned it up a little bit. Had to do both sides this way.

THankSS.I have EBC rears and they are not as clean as my PF fronts.

yeah, and Autoboner is FULL of knowledgeable, helpful people that really know their shit! amazing how they can get such great people for $6/hour!

Hey Rokt. They didn't list any rears for the '04 by Friction Master but they do for the '05's. If it's true that the '04's and '05's rear brakes are the same then they should fit. I took that Redneck Logic class too (Do you have a weedeater?). So far so good. Make sure you have the rotors turned or at least scuff them to remove the glaze. After running the fronts for awhile I decided to do the rears too. So know I have the Friction Masters at a ll four corners. Wheels stay clean too. Just took a 6 hour ride and the wheels are still shiny. As long as their quiet and clean, I'll continue to use them.
 
I put the Morse ceramics on front & rear of my '05 Quad cab.
I love them, they seem to stop better than those nasty carbon-metallic stock pads.
However, the front's "notches" that go over the calipers locating pins, do need some filing to ensure proper fit, otherwise they will bind.
I'm going to send Morse a note about the fitment issue with the notches.
But, once again, they stop like a charm, and on 4 trips around town, still no brake dust on the wheels. (Stockers would have the wheels looking like crap by then)
 
So far, no squeaking like my stock pads did.
but, I don't have a lot of miles on them yet...
 
Thanks for the updates, My truck will stay nice and clean all week, execpt for the wheels with all the dust.. This might be the next mod! :)
