Bremerton Raceway

I was on 22" street tires.

I feel that with more practice, I can get a 12 out of the truck as it sits.

My lightening buddy was there last night, and he was commenting on the poor track conditions. Last week he was hitting 13.0's all night, and last night he was hitting 13.3's. He was not the only one commenting. Quite a few of us lit the tires at the mid track point. My local track only preps the first part of the track for test and tune. They prep quite a bit more for race days.

But it still sounds like you had fun, and that's the most important thing.

I did and I will go back.

Here is an excel sheet with all of my runs. No making fun of my piss poor reaction times :)

My best run had the worst reaction time. I was paying attention to the truck and the tach not the tree. I looked up, and surprise, it was green.

I went racing tonight.

It was a lot harder than I expected. Getting off the line with any consitency will be tough.

My first run was a 14.2. I was dissapointed.
My next run was a 13.6. Better, but I expected more.
Run 7 was a 13.126. Almost where I wanted to be.

Run 7
60' 2.186
1/8 8.621
1/8 mph 86.43
1/4 13.126
1/4 mph 109.99

I will be going back. I know I got a 12 in her. On a cooler day for sure, since it was quite warm today (by WA standards). I am also not convinced my new ROE tunes are where they need to be. Truck sure was running rich. I will have to look into that more.

Wow, I could only muster a 13.151@111 in my forced induction beast :)

Course the best part was that I was there. Thanks for not mentioning it Dale! :D

j/k I'm such an ass.

My wife and I really enjoyed our trip out there, and appreciated Dale invinting us to watch him run. There was also a really nice resto-mod '69 Charger running there.

Dale had to get hooked up with a helmet before he ran. The track requires it for anything running less than a 14. It was great seeing him stuffing his melon into a small helmet his buddy offered to loan him.:p

I'll have to post up some pix of the event. I shot about 20 or so of Dale going up against an Emily Dickinson edition Ford truck (Or is it the Harley Davidson edition? I can never remember.).

Dale did a fine job for a first time out. I tried to get him to pull his RPM's up on the launch. The truck grabs, spins a couple of feet, hooks again, then bogs. It's just going to take practice to get the feel for the launch, and get his 60' where it oughta be.

Now that I have the TT Vette fixed, I'll have to run him next time out to the track.:burnout: Then we'll see who has worse traction issues.:D

Ah, Eric. We never mention that you are with us.;) :D

Eric, you know I love ya. It was an oversight based on hectic day. I have been trying to sort out my VEC programmer as I was running way to rich. I also had to go approve acounter offer on my knew house.

When I get a minute, i will sit down and ralate some of the stories and pics of the runs. I also need to scan my timeslip.

As it turns out I did do better with a small burnout.

It's all good, Dale. We had a great time out there. Hope all goes well with the house too.

I could just get a few more moments of fame out of the trip. The Charger that I shot some photos of might end up in Popular Hot Rodding with an article about that car.:D

Yup. She's the one responsible for my plug wire swap without having to pull the intake manifold.

That trip really got her thinking about going racing! We're going to get her TT Vette out to the track once the clutch is broken in, and see what they can do!

Here's one of her with the time slip.

I like hanging out with Eric. Above is the best reason why :)

She sure is nice to be around.

Looks like a great asset to any team to me! The small hands and arms are indeed a benefit when attaching new ignition wires to our distributor!

Always nice to have a supportive woman in the crowd.

You are very fortunate.

Here are a few pics my neighbor took.

And yes i beet the HD Ford.
