Broken bolt, need help!

Tough one. Since you can get some vice grips on it try working it back and forth. Keep spraying it with lube real good. I would suggest heating the area but you don't want to melt the wing. You my end up needing to drill it out and re-tap the hole. If your not comfortable with that, take it to a machine shop and let them do it. They have the tools and know how to handle it. Good luck.
If you do melt your wing, just remember Wifey has a silver wing :D

Tried the PB blaster with no joy. I bought one of the easy outs but I'm having trouble drilling a pilot hole. I think my cordless screwdriver is not strong enough.

Take it to the base auto craft shop and get that crusty old NCO to help you get it out!

He will laugh at you in the process but he will get it done for you!

I have broken several drill bits and the easy out melted in the bolt. I think some of the PB blaster sprayed over into bolt. Still trying.

You didnt break the easy in the bolt did you? If not grind the head of the broken bolt flat then you will be able to get a flat spot for your pilot hole unless you went in cocked alittle, if it is cocked just start drilling it out one size at time enough to collapse the wall and then use a small punch or chisel to get it out. if you broke the easy out in there your screwed because the easy out is harden steel and twice as strong as a grade 10 bolt.

Well you fugged, let me look at my truck I dont have the wing on just want to see what we have to work with rt side left front or back hole?

I just looked at mine and looks like they had the same problem the hole is punched out no more threads is one option or your gonna have to make a new hole. Question what kind of easy out did you use fisrt there maybe hope if it was a cheap one you will probablly be able to drill it out only snap on use harden steel, also was it a flut one or one with bolt head look type that tapers off?

That would have been my advice, too.

I would still try heating it if you can,but first place some WET towels around the wing to keep it from getting burnt/melted.That is IF you can get vise grips on it.If not then.......................:dontknow:

I'll take a picture tomorrow so you guys can see what I'm talking about.

I don't think you know what you are talking about!:p :p :p

Just drill it out and put a heil core in. Heat will make a mess of things on the wing.
