Crazy thing is just 2 weeks ago alot of us Texas members were doing 120 around this same track in P/U trucks! I even contemplated taking my Vette since I had already done the 10 last year and it wasn't running good, as well as needing tires. I was fearing those tires around the banks:eek:
RIP BROTHER!!

An 87-year-old man whose bucket list including a 100-mile-per-hour car ride has died of injuries he suffered when the Corvette in which he was a passenger crashed into a wall at Texas Motor Speedway.

well he died doin what he wanted to do cant ask for much more...... if i had to die i would want it to be at high speed and i dont wanna feel a thing jus be gone like that no suffereing

That is very sad:( At least he died doin what he wanted:) That's how I'd wanna go!:D

Trust me there are WAY worse ways to go, and I've seen most of them. He died doing something he'd always wanted to do. Seems OK to me, way better than lying in a pool of your own feces and goin out slow. But that's just me:dontknow:

This is not a sad day, im sure he lived a full long life and at least he went out doing something he ejoyed rather than in a home or in bed! I would love to go out this way when i become of age so to say!!

A good driver should have been on that list.

Stupidist thing I ever heard. "He died doing what he likes", BS. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of other things on that list, and getting killed doing stuff on that list wasn't on it.

X2 end of story for that old guy. If the driver is still alive he should be plagued w/guilt. On a side note, when I jumped out of a plane skydiving at 11k feet I sure as sh!t didn't want it to be my last mortal act. Same can likely be said for the deceased.

I will only say this was an unfortunate incident.....I personally would not want to die because I was doing something I wanted to do......
