finally got my rims to mount the 390's!:D now i'm wondering if anyone has experimented with the duration of the burnouts and a good tire pressure to go with it?

My opinion i think 17psi works well, and as far as the burnout maybe about 3 or 4 seconds should work well for ya. Nice looking truck:rock:

i usually burnout @ ~2500rpm for less than 10 seconds, just enough to get alittle smoke off them & heat them up..... the M&H's don't really need a massive burnout to be affective, just enough to scrub them off...... i run about 22 psi in mine.... linelock helps a ton too....... if you don't have, you should consider jmb's kit.

:withstupid: .......................Where did you find the rims? Another member here is search for the eagles..

I run 12 psi and a smokey burnout. I had the best 60's with less air and more heat.

Best launch that night 12 psi 1.68 60'

The mistake a lot of people make is they start the burnout IN the water. I always roll through the water, roll out to dry pavement, lay it on the wood and count 1,001 1,002 1,003 then ease of the throttle and brake at the same time. Roll up and prestage, wait on the other guy to prestage, stage and leave on the last yellow:burnout: :burnout: The reason for rolling through the water is that a treaded tire holds water.

:dito::dito: Just be ready to clean rubber from the front to back of the truck!!! I've been experimenting with the pressure in mine. Last night I had a 8.41 in the 8th with 22lbs in the tires - no hop or chirp but I'm running a QC with an automatic...:dontknow: BTW 8.41 is good for me...
